The Institute of Food Security functions as a division of FCI Headquarters, New Delhi. All the academic and administrative affairs of the institute are managed by the Director.The administrative sub-functions are assigned to various sections as per the FCI's manpower deployment practices. Each section is headed by a Manager who is supported by a team of Assistants to look into the routine execution of the task. The administrative ability of Asstt. Genl. Managers who primarily work as faculty members is also used in the Institute as they are designated as Officers in-charge of some of the sections. The present office bearers are:
